Esther Tomlinson
Associate Lecturer – Contemporary Dance
Originally from a small town north of Bristol, Esther started dancing from a young age but fell in love with dance in secondary school. Esther participated in the Swindon CAT scheme before undertaking a foundation diploma in performing arts at Liberatus School of Performing Arts in Swindon. Esther went on to achieve a First-Class BPA (Hons) Degree at Northern School of Contemporary Dance in Leeds, continuing her training being part of JV2, a Professional Development Diploma with Jasmin Vardimon Company.
After JV2, Esther became a freelance artist; working on R&Ds, creations, film projects and touring nationally and internationally with companies including: Heather Walrond Company, Chhaya Collective, TRIBE// and Urban Conceptz.
Alongside performing work Esther has taught in several schools and colleges in a variety of locations in the South West. Esther is also trained in Sports Massage Therapy and has an interest in injury prevention, mobility and natural movement coaching.
